Jenyne is a multi-talented artist originally from the Northwestern part of the United States, around the Seattle area. She has won several competitions on the pole, living up to and legitimately holding the title of Jenyne “pole queen”. Including: Pole-a-palooza champion two years running (‘06 & ‘07), Princess on the Pole grand prize winner, Miss Seamless contest winner, P’olympics club and state placements, also competing in regionals.

It all started with an active childhood. She began gymnastics at the age of  three and continued to play and practice the sport until she was twelve. Her parents could not afford to pay the high tuition for the only gym located in her town. Jenyne dabbled with other sports she could play at school like soccer and volleyball, but nothing seemed to fill the void. She wanted to become a cheerleader, but she focused more on her education to graduate early, and it never happened in high school.

It wasn’t until she was eighteen that she discovered something similar to gymnastics. Working two jobs and still struggling to rent a $400 room near the University of Washington, Jenyne needed something more to be able to afford college. She walked into a gentlemen’s club for the first time and asked for a waitress job application. Lucky her, she happened to walk into the club where Pantera (one of the best pole dancers in the World) was working. After seeing her master that pole with athleticism, Jenyne knew she had to try it. Three months later she competed in a small competition on stage at that club and winning took her to Vegas.

First time in vegas, she was able to see a Cirque du Soleil show and was absolutely in awe. There was no turning back at this point. Jenyne made a tough decision to put off interior design school in Los Angeles to focus on training in aerial and acrobatics. Her first taste of aerial was at the Trapeze School New York. Flying trapeze was fun, but she knew that she would enjoy other forms and apparatus that allowed her fluid movement and freedom with choreography. Jenyne moved home to Seattle and searched far and wide until she found classes there. Her trainer and mentor, Lara Paxton of Trapezius and Circus Contraption, taught her the fundamentals of aerial tissu (silks), aerial lyra (hoop), Spanish web (rope), and static trapeze.

Jenyne had continued with pole dancing all along, and was encouraged to open a studio to teach, the first one in Seattle. After one year of building the Studio Mariposa, Jenyne made another tough decision to leave Seattle, not knowing how well the studio would do there and if she would get her investment returned. She had developed so much skill and strength, Jenyne wanted to go somewhere to showcase her talent and perform professionally. Las Vegas was her boyfriend Andrew Ball’s idea. He had gone to Cornish College of the Arts for dance and was ready to do the same thing.

It has definitely turned out to be a good idea.  As a freelance performer, she created a small company called Mariposa Productions. Jenyne has featured at numerous parties, events, conventions, clubs, and even a cirque show created by Dragone called Le Reve at the Wynn resort.  What a beautiful show with extremely talented people! Unfortunately Jenyne was not doing any aerial in the show and for the amount of time it was taking up in her life and for what it paid, she didn’t feel like it was worth it to give up what she really wanted to do.

So Jenyne left to perform her own shows four nights a week at a new place called the Men’s Club. The Men’s Club was built with every aspect needed for success; fine dining restaurant, sushi bar, ten thousand bottle wine cellar, and luxurious interior design, but was lacking agreement between the numerous owners. the Men’s Club is temporarily closed.

In the meantime, with creativity coming out her eyes, ears, fingers, and toes; Jenyne is currently in the process of creating her first full production show called Skylight. Look out for the hottest female cirque performers and dancer group coming soon. That may be a little later than planned, since Jenyne is running her Studio Mariposa in Las Vegas now.

Showgirl Supplies came to her and asked her to re-open Studio Mariposa.  They started a costume and supplies store years ago for all the women in the entertainment industry, and recently found a facility where they could add a full-service salon. You can also call it a one stop beauty shop. No other place in Vegas can a woman get a massage, her hair colored, nails done, go tanning, buy an outfit, take a yoga or pole dance class, and have a photo shoot done. Come visit us today!

Also, Jenyne is currently planning her world tour. She is interested in visiting as many countries as possible to teach workshops and perform aerial. Please contact Jenyne for any inquiries or information regarding a visit to your hometown.
